B2B, who install and maintain all types of security tagging and CCTV systems and supply security tags and labels to thousands of retailers across the UK & Ireland, are excited to be involved in this amazing British sports story. The Berkshire-based business were attracted to Louise’s campaign after witnessing her driven passion, innovation and can-do attitude – values which have been key to B2B’s growth and development since the company was founded 15 years ago.
Louise made motorsport history in 2012 when she became the first female ever to gain a non-gender based FIA Rally Title, but she’s been fighting to secure enough funding ever since. Despite her renowned sporting success and support from a good number of local and national companies, a rule change in 2013 meant that Louise’s racing budget for a competitive season more than doubled overnight. B2B’s support is a much needed boost for the young Brit.
“It is amazing to have B2B’s support,” said Louise. “They are a fantastic team with great energy and a genuine can do attitude. It is so nice to have British companies like this supporting and helping British sports people. I would not be able to make 2015 work without their support.”
“Louise’s profile is a very strong fit with B2B’s values,” explained Colin Warnock, Managing Director of B to B Links Ltd. “Our sponsorship also provides B2B with a unique opportunity for us to work with partners to showcase our latest IP CCTV systems and innovative products like Rapidtag. With Louise’s public following and existing business relationships, it made perfect sense for B2B to be involved.”
“Any sport is tough at world level and motorsport has more than its fair share of challenges,” added Stephen King, Group Chief Executive of B2B’s parent company PHSC plc. “There are plenty of barriers that prevent talent from freely rising to the top. The cost to be in the right machinery and the driving time needed to gather experience and give the chance to prove talent is extremely high. It would be great to see more companies supporting this incredible story.”
It has been a tough run for Louise, enduring a full two years of constant fundraising to gain a return to the World Rally Championships. The fight is far from over.
“Raising sponsorship is the toughest part of my job,” explained Louise. “I am flat out day and night calling anyone I can find on the internet, sending emails and meeting as many people as I can – you can never do enough. I have not competed since 2012 so I’m excited about getting 2015 underway and looking forward to finding more new sponsors to make 2015 the best year ever.”
The British Female Rally Driver has a tough quest before her World Rally Championship return in June for Rally Italia Sardegna. With half the budget still to find, Louise asks anyone who would like to help or be involved to get in touch. Please visit www.louisecook.com for the wide variety of ways to be involved.
